hi imabout to try my first extraction and found this nice step by step stb tek: http://www.shroomery.org...flat.php/Number/10089233
my question is instead of doing just 100 grams of root bark, would it be ok to do the same tek with 300 grams, so take a larger jar, and just triple amount of everything? so instead 100grams of naoh, use 300 grams, 1800cc's of water, 450 cc of naptha?
thanks

This is exactly what I did for my first extraction, except I took it even farther and used a full pound of bark (~454 grams, I never actually measured it) with a pound of NaOH. I tried doing the whole thing in one 80oz glass jar with ~2000cc's water, but it ended up being way too thick so I had to separate it into 2 80oz jars with +2000cc's water each. I also had a wicked emulsion that formed on it, but I simply sucked the emulsion layer out into a separate jar and added sea salt+lye+water and the emulsion disappeared. I ended up doing 5 pulls on each jar with about 200ml of naphtha for each pull. The individual naphtha pulls from each jar were combined then evaporated. I just kept doing pulls until the yield significantly dropped (pulls 1-4 yielded above 1 gram each time, pull 5 was ~500mg). I ended up yielding ~7.05 grams of barely yellow DMT.

Smaller batches do have their conveniences over big ones, and big batches have some convenience over small ones, I think its just personal choice. Someone feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong, or if you have better advice.

Good luck cosmic butterfly (love the name BTW)

Hey for STB a common method for determining how much of each part to use is this:

15ml of water and 1 gram lye per 1 gram of MHRB used. then 2ml solvent to 1 gram of bark divided by 4 separate pulls.

Please write an introduction essay before posting other topics.
Everything I say is fictional, I do not support illegal drug use of any kind, SWIM is a fictional character.
