I think it would be really useful for a quick overview. I am thinking about a table like this: Code: solvent / Hydrochloric Acid(A) vinegar(A) lye(B) Sodium Carbonate(B) naphtha(NP) d-limonene(NP) material
glass (white) up to 1%; > ph 3 up to 99% 3g/l can withstand fully ok might dissolve > ph -1 < ph 9 saturated water ph 12 not ok!
glass (green)
iron
steel
aluminium
plastic (general)
PET
jam jar cap
wood
first row is just an example I think a picture would be much better. Or even better a good table in the wiki. Maybe split up for bases, acids, NPS, PS and PPS. What do you think about this? What materials/reagents should be in there?

Well I guess this is already available with a google search, but at times there is conflicting data, or doenst contain exactly what we want.
In any case if you want to make it yourself I would say the chemicals most used here in this community are: Na2CO3, NaHCO3, NaOH, CaOH + fumaric, acetic, citric, hydrochloric and phosphoric acid + limonene, xylene, toluene, naphtha/hexane/heptane, vegetable oils, DCM, MEK, IPA, Butane, Methanol, Ethanol and Acetone + PP, HDPE, PET, PVC, Stainless Steel, Copper, Glass, Wood.

thanks biopsylo, that´s what I was looking for. Searched a long time for such a database. Btw I used the coleparmer data to build two excel files which I attach here. The full data version is the whole database, the selected data version could be used as a starting point for a chart which we could use here at the Nexus. Unfortunately not all what we need was in the database. The selected data file still contains a lot of data which might be unnescessary for us, but I left it in just in case. Why yes thank you biopsylo! This seems to be a good starting point. Should we keep their ranking of A,B,C,D or use a different system?
Well endlessness, I would do some but not all of them. If everyone could do some this wouldn't be much of a hassle. If there is interest we could start by laying out in which form we want to do it, so there is a consistent layout. If not we all can research every time the same stuff all over again.

oh yeah Granny by all means I didnt mean you should do all the work ! Im always glad when people are willing to do any work for the community I think the nexus wiki would be a good place to place this, just laying the form there and then people can collaboratively add. Feel free to join the wiki!
