I have just done the LSH peppermint tea modified from that in the forum. in effect was peppermint tea, lemon and crushed morning glory seeds. From the peppermint tea you get ethanal I was wondering how much ethanal comes from it. I only ask as I was considering replacing the peppermint tea with other ethanal containing beverages such as rum or sherry wine. Just wondering the relative concentrations of ethanal in beverages?

"in theory" its not the ethanol that causes the LSH conversion; its the acetaldehyde in the peppermint, which is also found in some other rums/wines. theoretically some other aldehydes should work as well, but more research is needed.
btw, i think the peppermint tea would work far better with hbwr seeds

how was your experience? stimulating or sedating?

The OP said ethanal, not ethanol. Ethanal IS acetaldehyde.

I'm not sure about the amount of ethanal you can expect from it. It probably depends on the potency and freshness of leaves.

Probably safest to use a sherry wine, I would think.
