Hi everyone! I have been lurking the forums for a while and my friend SWIM needs some advice.

SWIM has been evaporating his naptha because he doesn't have a cold enough freezer for the freeze precipitate. Every time SWIM pulls and evaporates, He seems to find that there is usually a large portion of it that is dark red and sticky. SWIM has been avoiding scraping up the red stuff as he doesn't know what it is. He is fairly sure he didn't suck up any of the base either.. or is this base?... its always been yellow with no red.

Any help would be great.

did you do an evap test in your solvent?

did you check the msds of your solvent to see what it contains?

what was 'always yellow'?

SWIM did an evap test and nothing was left behind.
The solvent SWIM uses at the moment is Recochem Camping Fuel
SWIM meant the naptha that is pulled is always yellow.. He was fairly sure no base was pulled.
I am assuming this red stuff is bad..

Any chance the red is just oils, or some jungle?

hey...no problem with the red oil...it's probally just jungle spice....my dmt that i extract with ether is dark red/maroon...the test is does it smell like dmt?....ive seen clear, orange, yellow, tan, red, almost black dmt(junglespice)
my advice to you is smoke it!

It's hard to tell really what it smells like. What happens to SWIM is there is a large section that doesn't seem to form crystals, like a thin layer, that when scraped just scrapes red gunk. The other areas crystalize nicely and form orangey crystals.. SWIM doesn't know if he wants to smoke it... As far as I heard, isn't naptha not supposed to pull jungle?

Dark red oils, hmm very unlikely id think.

What tek did SWIY use? and how warm was the camping fuel that was used?

i agree with the moth....you should smell it and if it smells like dmt...smoke it!if you have a doubt about your naptha...use ether sulfurico(diponible en qualquiera farmacia por sobrepedido) tried and true brother...no worries with this but it will most definatly give you a dark maroon oily spice that ROCKS!!!!

for the others that read this i found in a autodidactic chemist encylopedia that ether sulfurico is the same as normal ether(for those of you who live in latin america)and you can buy it almost amywhere in a pharmacy

naptha shouldnt pull jungle spice
if it scares you to smoke it...heat a knife up on a burner and touch it to the red...it should smell like dmt if it is.

SWIM has been using a STB in a milk jug. He adds heated naptha and shakes around every now and then.. SWIM heard somewhere that keeping the naptha in the jug too long can be bad, which might be the problem, i dunno.. Whenever SWIM pulls and puts into the evap dish he finds that soon after, what looks like little white milky splotches start to form at the bottom. SWIM is always careful not to pull any base.. He is still unsure of smoking the material.

buy a 4 liter wine jug in walmart or the liquer store.(200pesos with the wine)...#2 plastic should be all right but i avoid plasic like the plague!...you know here in mexico people cut corners any way they can and adding questionable plastic to strech manufacturing isnt above lala

So SWIM burnt some on his stove and it DOES smell like DMT.. he just needs to know exactly what it is before he smokes it.. as jungle shouldn't be pulled from naptha. Why would it be so oily and red?

SWIM thought HDPE2 plastic was ok to use..... Does this effect the final product?

could be caused from different solvents in the naptha(some naptha contains toulene which will take jungle with it)...i've had diffrent results using the same recipie with the same chems...sometimes it's just diffrent...dont let the color throw you off...the best dmt i've ever smoked was dark red...if you didnt get any of the syrup in the mix....then it has to be the spice

it shouldnt....but i dont recomend it...like i said...who knows what they threw in there so it was cheaper

patience...the spice will change to a more orange color and solidify over time

The taste of the DMT is what usually throws SWIM off the worst. SWIM keeps having these bad thoughts that maybe some solvent was left behind in the crystals because it tastes like plastic.. but from what I heard that is normal though.. It is mainly that damn taste.

acutumbrate...use mint, MJ...it cuts the taste! smells like mothballs(alcamfor)
