Hello I have seen mimosa hostillis,it root bark Is in purple color, Today I have collected few stem bark of acacia auriculiformis stem barks, I have observed same purple color in between layers of bark. Does this mean it contains DMT, I am just curious about it. I am attaching those pics below. Bhanuflippo attached the following image(s): IMG_20190405_061653.jpg (3,067kb) downloaded 81 time(s). No purple color is not indicative of DMT, those are only tannins. I have performed an extraction on acacia auriculiformis and yielded very little. Once you do please make a thread on how much you managed to extract.

Right now I am on it, so did you get 5MeoDmt ? I am doing test with 25gms ,I am using AB extraction. Also using Hexane instead of Naptha. Bhanuflippo attached the following image(s): IMG_20190407_102701.jpg (1,439kb) downloaded 66 time(s).

Just out of curiosity, why hexane instead of heptane? Is it simply availablity, price? or theres other reason?

I don't know, where I am living naptha is not available, in few Teks I saw they are suggesting Hexane or heptane, so I got Hexane... Why heptane is better than Hexane?

I understand about the naptha, i dont use naptha myself (because the stuff they sell here, is mostly pentane, which is not ideal). However, generally Heptane(Bestine) is more available than Hexane, and sometimes Heptane is cheaper than Hexane, so i thought there is other reasoning except availablity/price for you to use Hexane instead of Heptane, and i was just curious if you could explain further the benefits of using Hexane vs Heptane, but i guess the reasoning behing you using Hexane was indeed of availability/price. I've seen people using Hexane for pulling before, what % n,n/5-meo/-DMT is Acacia Auriculiformis supposed to contain, do you know? If its very little consider using aromatic solvent next time. (Im not familiar with Acacia Auriculiformis)Keep us updated, im curious! Good Luck

At first catch I lost some solution while separating , I used separating funnel it's a stupid thing I did, so I left the solution which is left in freezer on next day I did a second catch which is perfect,so I mixed the the first catch solution and second in one beaker.again I left it in freezer this morning(10AM),after few hours (6:00PM )I found this strange while balls kind of thing floating in the bottom. I am attaching the image below. This is my first extract. I think I messed up or is that what I expect? Soon I will give update... Thank you

Before you use Heptane i must tell you that there is not a lot of difference between Heptane and Hexane, the only "big" difference is between their boiling points (30C difference; Heptane-98C, Hexane-68C), i think if you choose to use aliphatic solvents (Heptane, Hexane, etc..) for extracting/pulling, you must use heat water bath during the extracting/pulling, for that reason i think Heptane is the "better" option between the two, because of it's slighty higher boiling point, which means you can use higher temps(water bath), so you can theoretically get more saturated pulls. When using Hexane, depending on how hot is your water bath (+ stirring), some of it can evaporate during the process.
