The bigger chunk weighed about half a gram.

Used naphtha exclusively.

I use a lab hotplate and dissolve a gram into about 20ml until in solution, run through a tiny buchner funnel/fritted disc and then precipitate in a petri dish. Ive found decanting after any colored slag precipitates to be key.


The picture below is the precipitation dish for the first and second pull of a 500g a/b before any sort of cleanup or re-x. The picture in the op is the prettier chunks of this batch after cleanup


Ive been doing this since I was 16 years old. Got the process down pat, I get clean crystals on the first 3 pulls of an a/b solution 9 out of 10 times
