Dessicant to evap? Options

Evapping(for crystal growing, reducing solvent, etc. etc.) usually brings up a lot(or atleast some) dmt n-oxide, takes awhile, and loses solvent. Would it be possible to use dessicant to reduce time, reduce exposure to air, and possibly reuse the solvent absorbed?

That's a good question, I would like to know as well
Recently released from a Psychiatric Hospital, Don't believe anything IT says.

Pure xtals must build there lattice structure SLOWLY or they will trap impurities in the lattice.

You can evaporate solvent very rapidly with a fan and heating pad. Just watch out for dust and dirt.

yes, but the fan allows a lot of fresh air to come meaning it will oxidize a lot more. In mind was a small glass chamber with a long thin top and a layer of dessicant on mesh. This way, the dessicant could possibly allow you to reuse your solvent, its got little air exchange but there is no moisture trapped inside, and you get a much cleaner product.

Dessicants absorb moisture e.g. water.

SWIM is totally unaware of any available material that can be used as a "sink" to absorb petrochemicals just as dessicants are a "sink" for water molecules.

The lattices of crystals very often contain parts of the solvent. This has not much to do with fast or slow evaporation but with the nature of crystals and how they form. Many substances need the molecules of the solvent to crystallise (or co-crystallise) properly.

The presence of solvent as part of the crystal lattice is more evident when one looks at solved chemical structures that come from X-ray crystallography.
