Oh sorry, i can't remember ever reading that question, but no i don't know, I just follow this TEK and they form by them selves, when extracted from the slightly heated mixture, already before freezing for maximum crystallisation.

Needles form (from experience) when dmt is evicted over a short period of time. Freeze precip, or concentrated hexane cooling to room temp.
rhomboids I've seen, are more likely to form from a slow precipitation.

I never replied with a photo of the requested Crystals+laser photo's, I gave it another view because I couldn't really believe there was nothing to the image. YES! Thank you. I wonder, why exactly those crystals are moving like that? What causes them to move? EDIT. Is it the evaporating solvent? I am just a crazy person.

That video is pretty wild. It'd be nice if there was a way to make the camera stationary and not move so much. Other than that nice work! Demeter42, those pics are super nice and clear, look forward to more of your xtal porn
