They are selling these spiral seed pods here but don't list any name...

Phanera variegata is a tree which has spiral pods as well...

I've seen one of these trees before, it sucks that I can't ID it...

... could it be a chinese scholar tree?? The seed pods could be old ones, opened, and curled up.....?

Agree, probably Wisteria floribunda ...

but this tree also contains no spice right ?
