So I was thinking that when you blast off into hyperspace in the blink of an eye and leave behind the universe as we know it, the idea of it being around for 14.6 billion years is hard to grasp??
Thoughts?

Are you within the universe, or is the universe within you?

un wrote:Are you within the universe, or is the universe within you? Well, I'd say it's always both. And it doesn't matter what you're talking about either, it's always both because both are the same thing. Everything is a paradox in other words in my estimation.

GK Which is hard to grasp, that the universe exists? The vastness of it? Or the supposedly time it has existed? Don't believe everything you think.

GK Which is hard to grasp, that the universe exists? The vastness of it? Or the supposedly time it has existed? A little bit of all i suppose...there is this vastly immense universe surrounding us that we have placed an arbitrary set of measurements upon based on our understanding of time, matter and intelligence as we know it so far and yet it seems/feels as if we can transcend all of it in an instant given the right circumstances/substances. I don't know, on one side of the coin i lean towards the view of solipsism...how can i prove any of this exists before or after im gone and therefore what do i make of it then on the flip side is the idea that we are part of some kind of eternal and currently incomprehensible creation or grand design and to just go along with the ride and have a good time!

Yes, the real question might be is the universe even here or is God just dreaming and we are all just dream characters in the mind of God? Maybe the universe itself is just a thought. Save the world! It's the only one with chocolate!
