So I took some enhanced leaf made with 100 mg of primo recrystalized DMT and 100 mg of mullein and loaded it into my Arizer vape. Upon inhaling a full balloon, I was getting mild to moderate effects, but nowhere near the whole dose, so I tried hitting the whip, but got nothing.
Assuming the leaf was spent, I shelved it, but later on a whim I decided to try filling another balloon, and much to my surprise got effects similar in strength to the first one, and again absolutely nothing from the whip. I was even able to fill a third balloon for moderate effects.
What gives? Why does filling the balloon work but hitting the whip does nothing?
And moreover, how can I concentrate the whole dose into one balloon? Do I just need to pack way more leaf in there? Use a greater DMT/leaf ratio?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I had my first couple breakthroughs using enhanced leaf (mint worked best for me). It was very hit or miss and I feel as though I just wasted sooo much spice with it. What I found to work the most flawlessly and consistently was just using a few screens under an ash sandwich.
I like to use fresh cig ash dropping, dumpem on my screen and smushem flat with my finger gently. I save and re-use my ash, so I'll blanket my freebase with some recycled ash.
  Best of luck, 1ce

Is the leaf freshly made (last few weeks)? If so, leftover moisture can interfere with complete vaporization.

I was thinking that might be the problem, Arcologist.
I am learning more and more that patience is a virtue when it comes to spice.
