Hypothesis: Increasing the surface area the pulled Naptha contacts during freeze precipitation will increase yield.

Experiment1: Freeze percip with large glass tray.
Expirement2: Freeze percip with metal plates, like heatsinks on CPU, but not Aluminum.

Has anyone tried something like this?
Any thoughts?
Would it help?

Advanced Extractors/chemists: Do you think this would help at all?

No it wont increase yield..
crystals crashing out of solvent is a product of the temperature..
An increased surface area just gives the crystals more room to grow individually..Very happy

Would decreasing the temperature further than a standard Freezer cause more of it to crash out?

i.e. dry ice?

more important is the selection of solvent.
surface area isn't really relevant, unless you're going to let it evap, then sure...it will evap quicker

you won't necessarily crash out more by using dry ice, you may just crash it out quicker

A lot of teks i see people putting multiple glass trays into the freezer. I only have one pyrex tray. Shit aint cheap! My question is, is it possible to over load trays with the naphta?? Could one use ceramic plates??

people use multiple trays mostly so they can see how much they are getting out of each pull. it is fine to put all of your pulls into one tray and evaporate all at once.
