Just wondering if you guys have any lighter recommendations? I use a GVG with hemp wick,but it seems to always go out half the time, and I don't want to use crappy 99 cent lighters with cheap fluid in them.

Are there any lighters that would work great with the GVG?

Most times a torch lighter (45 degree tip) but I smoke cigars and have probably 10 to 15 torch with 1 to 3 burners and a same amount of mixed stuff plus zippos. I always have a zippo for emergencies as well since the torch lighters will go through the whole tank in 80-90 seconds if you have it on constantly trying to light something up. Otherwise it takes maybe 1 refill every 2 weeks or so.

Was wondering one last thing..When you use these with the GVG do you keep the lighter at the side of the GVG or slightly overhead pointing down into it?

I do mostly sideways for everything. When I have it up and accidentally blow air back, the flames go straight to my fingers. I have it sideways at around 45 degrees and if straight ahead was North, I have the lighter at my Northeast but I am right handed and use my right hand for the lighter.
