I was wondering what everyone is using to store their powders? I've been using a tiger balm jar that's been cleaned out, but it seems that it turned a small amount of crystal that contacted the lid red, and the rest of the crystal is beginning to take on an orange-ish color. So what are you all using? "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." -Edgar Allan Poe

I use airtight plastic pill containers. I'd prefer glass, but they work quite well. Perfect size and they're tinted blue to help reduce light alittle bit. That inside a ziplock for good measure, then in a box in the back of a cool, dark closet. Works very well for me.

If you've done your best to keep these down, then you're spice will stay good for longer. For extended long term storage (upwards of a year), an airtight container in the fridge or freezer is usually your best bet.

That's good information, but think i can remember reading it will stay good for a lifetime. Only the color and effects will change with age, but it is very possible i imagined all that. *ALL WAYS WITH LOVE

Maybe itis rust from the lid. No its this kind of jar. http://giddygemini.files...m/2011/08/tiger-balm.jpgIts really strange the way its turning red. Its just the stuff that's in contact with the lid, but there's no rust or anything, and it was thoroughly cleaned out before use.
