Naptha sat in the jar for a day... woah. Options

Well, I've done plenty of naptha pulls before but this one in particular is a bit odd. I got it into the graduated cylinder and it looks just like orange Hi-C. It was the third pull and I forgot about it the other day and left it in for 24 hours. I set it aside from the rest of the pulls since it's odd.

I'm just curious about the difference in experience if anyone knows. This one will be totally evaporated to find out what this Hi-C looking stuff is full of. If not I'll be glad to tell everyone in a few days!
Oh my god. I broke it. I broke reality.

Hello, you may know the answer to my question. Is Ronsol a good alternative to Naptha?
Never done a extraction just sourcing my supplies and want to make sure what I buy is good.

Thanks

What source material are you using? I did a confusa extraction the other day and my first pull stained the solvent pink. The rest were all fine...

I've left naptha sitting on mimosa base soup for long bits of time and they will often go dark yellow but never an orange. It is probably some oils or fats from your source material. I'd so a sodium carbonate wash on it and see if that lightens it up at all.

limonene turns from clear to yellow to orange to almost a red-color.

so my guess is you got some full-spectrum product there.

looking at the MSDS it seems fine..

no rust inhibitors or anything to speak of, just unidentified "aliphatic hydrocarbons"

I'm agreeing with what you said. Something I noticed is after the naphtha sat in the evaporation pan for about a half hour a dark sediment settled to the bottom on the pan. No base solution was carried over in the thumb wheel pipette though so that dark sediment could have contributed to the orange color. But what is it...

And Looper check out that msds and also do an evaporation test. If anything is left in the container after evaporating your solvent then look into getting something different.
