Was wondering if any of you knew the solubility of Mescaline while in its freebase form (I believe, or whatever form it is in cactus after adding the base)..
I am wondering this because every time I have attempted I have failed due to the defat step (as in a bunch of emulsions in the xylene).
Now what I am wondering is if it more soluable in alchol or Xylene?
So as in if extrcted into the alcohol first, then mixing the alcohol with xylene, will it fall into the xylene?

may have used the wrong term..maybe not defatting
that shows the mescaline solubility but not in order, unless thats in the order that it comes in or something...
i mean as in, i need to know if its more soluable in xylene or in alcohol because I was thinking about doing something like:
1. dissolve powered cacti in 99% isopropyl
2. after waiting and shaking, seperaate cactus and alcohol.
3. mix alcohol and xylene, seperate (now will the meacaline go into the xylene or stay in the alcohol)
4. hcl salt water and mix with xylene, evap water.
