Heptane/Hexane alternatives for re-x Options

Hello,

unfortunately Heptane and Hexane are regulated strictly in the EU, so that you can't acquire them without some kind of signed permission. (At least I couldn't find it anywhere uncontrolled)

In case there is no source for Heptane or Hexane in europe, is there an alternative solvent to use for re-x, that does not pull impurities as easy as naphta and low solubility at room temp?

Any hints are greatly appreciated Smile

Have a look at 'Panel Wipe', used for cleaning cars prior to painting. Should be able to find that at most motor factors. Normally its straight heptane/hexane.

Browse a site where you can find said Panel Wipe, then just google "product name + MSDS".
Then you can confirm whether it is straight heptane/hexane or contains undesirable additives.
