Hi, I agree with Nathanial.Dread here. From my own experience I know that there can be a HUGE difference between smoked and "oral" Salvia. I always recommend to quid Salvia, rather than smoking it, especially when one is trying to get newly acquainted with this particular Teacher. (In other words, depending on the "method", you can either establish a contact with the Teacher, or - in the extreme case - you can get "f%?%&ed" like the poor youtube-kids falling out of the window There is a probably a reason why Slavia Divinorum has never (!) been smoked in the traditional context of the Mazatec people... Anyways, everything depends, of course, on your own intentions :-) Just keep safe

Quote:I know, I'd like to try that very much. But I can't find fresh salvia leaves. Currently I'm looking for salvia seeds or someone that already has it growing, so that I can grow my own Salvia. I would like that very much. But for now, dried leaves is all I got. I'm sure I'll try chewing once I get my own plant.
A quick bounce around the internet informed me that you can, in fact, chew extract, although it is supposed to be more unpleasant then the raw leaf itself. If you have powder, you can rehydrate it with a little bit of water and put it under your tongue, agitating it and chewing it occasionally. Alternatively, you can apparently chew it with chewing gum so you're teeth have something substantive to chew on as you buccaly absorb the Salvinorin A. If your extract is leaves that have been infused with the molecule, chew as normal, just make sure you're being smart about the dose: start with too little, and work your way up. As for your quest to get seeds, that's going to be in vain: Salvia Divinorum almost NEVER produces viable seeds. No one knows why. You will have a much easier time finding and rooting a cutting. Well then I guess I'll go on a quest for finding a salvia plant, tho I don't know anyone that's growing it :/ ABout the extracts, idk, they're pretty expensive and I don't think I'll buy any extract soon, maybe some day. I can't chew regular dried leaves, right? Anyway, thank you a lot for all your responses, now I know a lot more about this stuff. In knowledge, there is power

You could definitely chew regular dried leaves. I imagine it wouldn't pleasant, but then again, I've never met a drug I actually found pleasant to consume (except cannabis edibles: THC + chocolate = ). "There are many paths up the same mountain."

Also, yeah, THC + chocolate is tasty In knowledge, there is power

You can use dried leaves if you want to quid, just re-hydrate them by leaving them in a plate with a little fresh water. It will be less pleasant than quidding fresh leaves, but certainly better than putting dry leaf in your mouth. "The Menu is Not The Meal." - Alan Watts

It depends entire on how far you want to go. 6-12 is the range I tend to operate in, but I use fresh leaves. Above 12, for me, things start to get a little too intense. Below six, there's not much more then threshold effects. Dried leaves tend to be less potent then fresh leaves, but I would still recommend dosing low. You can always take more, but you can't take less, and with Salvia, even a little too much can be WAY too much. Personally, I would start between 6-8. Chew for half an hour and see where you are. If you want to go further, you can up your dosage a bit. I highly recommend getting a live plant however, partly for the increased potency and availability of the leaves, but also because I have found the experience of saliva I grew my self to be MUCH more welcoming and productive then the experience from salvia I bought. I've never had a plus four (breakthrough) with salvia, I didn't know they were common? I'll have to try that, I've never had a plus four before with anything actually. LSD was a light 3, same with salvia, I think I'm relatively unaffected by the drugs. I've never had a bad trip, but I've seen friends take the same amount as me and freak out or pass out or trip too hard, but not me. I can't buy salvia in my town, but hitchhiking a town over to buy salvia sounds fun. With any drug, you want to stay calm and away from dangerous situations. I went on a hike on LSD once. I walked on the center of the path on all 4s most of the way. I wasn't going to risk falling. Stay calm, and know what the negative effects are, that way you can avoid/know you aren't having them. If it becomes too powerful, eat. It will distract you and/or absorb the substance, depending on the substance. Here is my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/u...octorDrugs?feature=mhee

I just wanted to relate my, and many others, experience with quidding extracts. It doesn't work. Simple as that. Rehydrated dried leaf or fresh leaf is all I've had success with orally. I recently juiced some of my fresh homegrown leaf and had an experience with that. It was rather intense, actually. Probably the strongest experience I've had with oral Salvia other than one tincture I had a little while ago.

I second everything that gibran2 wrote, very well said. Especially this. gibran2 wrote: First of all, legitimate 50X salvia extract is likely unavailable commercially. The only way I know to get legitimate 50X would be to prepare it myself.
Don't ever do this. Less is more... less is much much more. Expect nothing, Receive everything. I never enjoyed any sort of oral salvia. I tried quidding and tincture but they got me nowhere. I started saliva many years ago with 5x, but my current choice is to smoke small amounts of 20x and go with the experience. I usually partake of saliva once every few months these days. Salvia is cool, but rather dark compared to the light of spice that I enjoy more often. Peace

My Salvia changas have really brought this out. A yin and yang feeling. Salvia tends to force one to confront dark emotions, whereas DMT can be generally euphoric and uplifting. The uplifting feeling and positivity I experience from Salvia is after ingestion rather than during
