I just finished the first half of my first ever extraction and poured off the naptha and have that freeze precipitating. The jar that had the solvent in it has a thin layer of spice crystals that looks like its going to turn into goo, which is okay, but now I need to figure out how to get the material out of the bottom of the mason jar, which I couldn't find for the life of me on the site. Any suggestions?

add some warm naphtha, swish it around and then pour it out. Your crystals should now be in the warm naphtha which you can add to your freeze precip tray. INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Turn the jar upside down with the lid on so the remaining naphtha drips away from the crystals. Then I use a butter knife, sometimes a spoon, to scrape em out. + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

or, if it's such a small amount of spice that you're worried it won't recrystalize, you could just add some boiling water to liquify the spice, and then use that water for an oral trip.
If you're worried there's some naphtha mixed in, then let the water evap entirely. There should be some goo left at the bottom. Then add boiling water and drink that. If there is any significant amount of spice there, it will turn to powder, or possibly even some crystals when it dries. If there's barely anything there, it will just be a very thin sticky layer at the bottom, which probably isn't even enough for a single trip anyway.

you mentioned an oral trip, by using hot water/boiling water to clean out the jar. What kinds of effects would be expected from a very small amount like that?

I've only donw one extraction in the past but I scrapes it out with a metal spoon (though I've had a rubber spatula recomended too) before pouring any of the solvent away, then pour it all through a coffee filter to catch the crystals. Then I found putting a fan on a low setting aimed into the filter with a weight sitting inside it to hold it open and stop it blowing away had it all dry in about an hour or two
