I'm using caapi for microdosing. I'm working with a powdered 5x extract. Does it make sense to use it sublingually, or not in the form I have?

Let’s say the caapi from which your extract was made contained 1% alkaloids. If so, then 5X extract contains 5% alkaloids. I find a sublingual dose of 10-20mg relatively pure alkaloids sufficient for noticeable albeit light effects. To get a similar effect with 5% extract, you’d have to take a dose of 200-400mg. That’s quite a mouthful for sublingual use. gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

Caapi's alakloid profile must be a lot weaker than rue. 20mg of rue alkaloids sublingual would be quite strong for me..have you tried caapi and rue alks both sublingual to compare? I want to extract some caapi but have never gotten around to it yet. Long live the unwoke.

Much much weaker than rue, but also a different vibe as well. I prefer cappi, but I have so much rue that I mostly just drink caapi now. If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

I wouldn’t say that caapi alkaloids are “much, much” weaker than rue, but there is a difference. Maybe it’s the larger amount of harmaline in rue? I also wouldn’t call 20mg of either “quite strong”. Noticeable effects for sure – a sense of calmness, a shift – but nothing like a 200mg oral dose for example. I much prefer caapi extracted alkaloids over rue – I find that rue extracted alkaloids have a somewhat “toxic” feel to them that caapi doesn’t have. gibran2 is a fictional character. I dont find caapi and rue that different though. The differences are there but minor for me. Long live the unwoke.
