Can DMT denaturate if you evaporate the solvent using direct heat of a stove? Coz I got the so called Jimjam DMT, smoked it, and nothing. Then I washed it wivinegar, evaped, smoked and nothing. WTF?

If you washed your spice with vinegar, it sounds to me like you're trying to smoke DMT acetate. It has to be freebase DMT if you want to vaporize it.

If the dmt is dmt and it is a freebase dmt then you just do not know how to vaporize is properly. There are many threads about it on this forum. To look that one up just use search button.

well yet another arrogant response from smokerx that went no where in answering your question. to actually answer your question, no, heating the solvent should not denature or at least in my experience has not for me and I have boiled naphta down prior to freeze precipitation while blasting it with the hair dryer. I can't say why it didn't work just that heat has never been a problem for me. I wash my spice by dissolving in hot naphta and then wash that with a bit of demineralized water with a bit of caustic soda in it. wait for it to separate, decant then freeze precipitate works for me... I don't know about washing with vinegar but it may be your issue.

activated charcoal cleaning is superior method over the alkaline water wash, ime.

Smoker aint being arrogant, he has a valid point. Although I already tried to melt my product with a lighter, it burns but does not melt, what makes me tend to believe that what I have is just residual lime.

Anyway, Ill just trash this screwd bark and start extracting again from new one, now using a STB method.

@Guernica: I dont know if that was DMT acetate, but accordingly to q21, when I evap the vinegar tincture, it should give me DMT freebase.



So i really think that is residual lime, and the DMT got lost somewhere in the process.
