Substituting White Vin with HCL Options

Good idea? Good idea? Will it have any effect of the amount of acid that evaporates as a AcC solution is boiled? Should 13ml of 38% HCL work aptly in place of 100ml Vin when working with 500g of plant? Thnx!

All suggestions and advice for the overall process is welcome'd, I'm planning to go the Thick-Light route to a T, and work my way through 2kg of plant. Sounds like a lot of finicky work when it comes to the numerous pulls, though.

Going to work with 1 kg at a time, split between 4 1L jars. Also plan to reuse naptha, due to a lack of surplus

i don't think it will effect the extraction negatively in any way, probably just end up with a cleaner product.

Ok, thanks. I notice there is no defatting in TL's guide. Is this step ineffective in a Confusia extraction?

Some more questions:

Is the White Vin referenced in extractions typically 5% acid? I read on wiki that it can vary from 5-8%. I want to be sure that I'm substituting with the correct amount of HCL. The 13ml I rounded off based on an assumed 5% concentration of W-Vin/acid. I don't have a ph meter/paper, so I need to get the measurement correct off the bat, lol.

Also, regarding TL's guide here:

"01. I used 500 grams that I froze and thawed twice then boiled in 2000ml of H20 with 100ml of white vinegar I let this boil for 1 and 1/2 hours then transfered the liquid to another pot and started reducing it. Do this at least 4 times adding fresh vinegar each time. I did it 5 and found that the 5th boil was lighter in color. Anyway as your cooking fresh washes start reducing prior boils in a second pot."

It's mentioned that they're doing multiple washes. Does this mean that the 500g used underwent multiple soaks (indicated by "ass fresh vinegar each time"Pleased, each with 2L of liquid - all of which was reduced into a combined 1.5L?

Is letting the plant soak in acidified water for 24 hours an adequate substitute for boiling and reducing, and can it be reduced to less that 1.5L?
