Hello everyone, I've done a lot of reading on the topic of Changa but I've not found a ''best'' choice for an maoi herb, I've just found the many possibilities of spice infused leaf. Can I get a few opinions on your personal choice of herb for infusing please ? Thanks in advance

This thread may help....is this really an extraction question though? lol

I read all 30 plus pages, I just wanted to see if anyone would recommend what they like the most. Cappi and passion flower intrigue me the most as well as chaliponga and where I live salvia divinorum is legal, I have a house full of it, I would've posted into the changa post but I can't reply on that forum because I'm a new member I guess.

If you're looking for a MAOI herb I would go with caapi leaf. I find Salvia to be one of the best herbs to use with changa. I've successfully converted some people with my Salvia changa They said they hated Salvia, "did it once and never again man" So many people have used it incorrectly and then haven't given it a fair chance. It compliments DMT extremely well. Even a mix I made with Salvia 5x and some freebase harmalas was excellent. Great herb to add to your psychedelic mixes As for mostly inert herbs I would choose mint or damiana.

I was thinking about getting red or white caapi vine, whichever one is best. Guessing red. Taking 10 grams of the vine and making an extract for chaliponga leaves, then make an extract from 10 grams of salvia d into a gram of the extract from the caapi and the chaliponga then infuse it in a 1 to 1 ratio.

Do you have to use caapi leaf ? I've only found a source for the vine.

My blend choice has always been a 50/50 mix of finely ground blue lotus and mullein leaf. This combination for me lends to a very smooth smoke for changa and the mullein leaf has a similar surface area to cannbis, so the alkaloids soak up pretty well. The smoothness of the smoke also allows for big hits to be taken.
If your looking for an maoi herb though, you could use pulverized caapi vine or caapi leaf. The vine would have more of an maoi effect due to alkaloid content, then per say the leaf. If your able to though, look into extracting the freebase harmalas from caapi vine/syrian rue seeds and add them to your changa. The extracted alkaloids will have a very pronounced effect in comparison to just adding vine or leaf to your blend and smoking that.

Vine is okay to use. If you're doing an extract vine would be better obviously. I would start with a 5x Salvia if you're going to have the harmalas and the 1:1 ratio with DMT. The mixes I made with 10x were somewhat unbalanced...I had to add some inert leaf with a little more DMT on it to balance it out. The Salvia can overwhelm if you add too much.

ah I've had some amazing experiences with salvia and mushrooms. Had some 50x about 2-3 hours into a 7 gram mushroom voyage, was not dissociative at all compared to when just ingesting salvia by herself. Was truly an amazing experience, it seemed I could of had a pound of her at the time and normally I'm very sensitive to salvinorin. Thanks for letting me know about the 5x. I'm the kind of guy that goes balls to the wall with everything

Well, when combining Salvia and DMT it's probably better to not go "balls to the wall" That combination is probably the most profound I've ever experienced. Someone who is inexperienced (even myself who has been a regular psychedelic user for more than a decade) may find it hard to handle a strong dose of Salvia and DMT at the same time.
