Hi everyone, I've received 300g of Mimosa Hostilis powdered root bark and will be doing my second extraction (first one failed).

I have a few question about extraction which I hope someone would be able to help with.

My main dilemma is that I don't have a scale to determine the amount of lye I'll be using. I do have a digital PH meter which should work though If I'm correct, so long as I can make sure that the PH is around 11-12. - Correct?

My main question is that I have a large bottle of Hydrochloric Acid (Muriatic acid) at 32% concentration and plan on acidifying the root bark first, though I'd really prefer not to have to separate the liquid after this process and would much rather leave it mixed with the powder and then add the Lye to ph 12. Would this be alright, or do I need to separate the liquid and then add the lye.
