Freezer not cold enough Options

Hi everybody!

I just bought everything I need for my first extraction.

But I just realized that I have a relative big problem.

The guy which helped me so far with this told me that the last step is to put the liquid with the DMT into the freezer by -25 degrees for 35-48 hours.

But it seems that my freezer is only between -9 max -12 degrees cold.

Now I don't really know what to do.

I appreciate any suggestions!

Best wishes,

Smallish

EDIT: I thought about cover it with ice, but I'm not sure if that is good enough tbh.

EDIT EDIT: Alright I just found a thread which answers this question, enough ice seems to work. I just have one more question then, does the duration change? Since it takes 35-48 hours by -25 degrees does it now take 48-60 hours for example?

-6 degrees is perfectly adequate..
Overnight duration is also fine...

The spice can't be held in suspension in NPS (just the nature of the solvent) at low temps and so precipitates (crystals fall out)

Your guys' method is a bit extreme...Smile

Thanks for the quick answer!

That's great to hear and good to know!

He wasn't sure if -9 degrees where enough.

But that's perfect!

Thanks again!
