I have a very good friend of a friend, who just made his very first attempt last night on extraction.
The resulting product was tested by him, and it proved to be extremely potent. In fact, overwhelming for such a small amount compared to his previous experiences with dimitri (he has smoked everything from white and yellow crystal, to more powdered forms of dimitri)
For some reason, my friend has only thrown up once in his whole life from smoking dmt, but upon testing this , when he began to trip he also got nauseous and threw up about a minute into it. This dimitri was no joke, only a small amount was loaded to test and he tripped very hard. I am curious as to what made him throw up and have a few ideas and will try to get some answers

If anyone experienced can comment, is it possible that naphtha was trapped in the demitri because it was freeze precipd quickly ? Maybe that could cause the nausea?

My friend is very happy with his success, he studied and went over a stb tek multiple times before attempting and did not have any problems for the first attempt! He put the naphtha from the pulls in the freezer, and was eager so 10 hrs later he poured off the naphtha through a coffee filter, which had lots of loose dmt floating around in it. After only a short freeze precip of 10 hours, he collected 600mg. The naphtha is surely still rich in dmt and he is expecting up to a gram still from the same pulls.

If someone could comment on the nausea problem, has anyone else here thrown up during a dmt trip? He just thought it was weird that he has smoked lots of dmt and only thrown up the very first time, but his own extract made him throw up within a minute of smoking. Perhaps it was just very strong and intense, on an empty stomach?

sorry to hear about your friends illness through his experience, im not sure what could have caused this to happen. however, if your worried about naphtha possibly still being inside the dmt crystals, you should put it on a plate, chop it up a lot, and maybe put a fan in the room somewhere and just leave it alone for a few hours, the naphtha should evaporate off. does the dmt smell like naphtha?

Yes it still has a naphtha like smell to it. Also smells like most dimitri but my friend can definitely smell naphtha in it.
Could this be from putting it straight to the freezer for freeze precip instead of detracting with the fridge first? Thanks My friend is new to all this and He definitely doesnt want naphtha stuck in the end result

Having to puke, when you are unprepared and laying in your bed, is not fun. The trip itself was very very strange, not near a breakthrough dose, but some very odd things happened. My friend feels when he began to trip, some sort of being or something put a hold on the trip, rejecting him and forbidding him from going there. He was not welcomed to the dmt trip like in his previous encounters, he was unwelcome in that world for the time being

my guess is that he did not bother to put the collection dish of dmt near a fan for a few hours after taking it out of the freezer. if you take out your dish early then you may have missed a few crystals that didnt crash yet, but again, a fan evap would crash them for you. i think you need to just let them dry out for awhile, at least till you cant smell naphtha anymore.. also it could be something he ate like the previous poster mentioned

Put x-tals on glass, chop with razor.
Put into a tall jar.
Run fan across top of jar, not into jar, but horizontally across the top.

Thank you I appreciate the quick responses. The yield was dried with a fan, and when i said it had a naphtha smell, my friend could have been mistaken. It has been sitting out for hours now so it could in fact just be the spice smell. When tested earlier it had only been out for around an hour. My friend will wait much longer next time

Your friend would be very wise to wait longer.

My friend realizes he was unwise to be impatient, and will take the time on the next extract.

My friend is still doing a final pull from the same batch as well as another batch, with a few different parameters to see the results and figure out what works best for him. Much less naphtha will be used next time as well

Hopefully sometime in the future, he could possibly look at making changa as well. He had some for the first time at a festival not long ago and he says it was very strong and enjoyable

sounds good, just be sure to take your time, theres no need to rush. also, you dont need to change the amount of naphtha you use, just be sure to fan evaporate all the naphtha off your dmt after it has come out of the freezer, wait some hours to evaporate and smell it to make sure the naphtha is all gone
