Hi guys just wondering if anyone could help me out with this. I'm having a hard time finding any decent sort of naphtha in the U.K lately. I've tried Ronsonol lately and find it leaves a small outline in the evap test and not the cleanest product. I recently stumbled upon this stuff and wondered would it be ok for both pulling and rex? It says it contains Aliphatic Hydrocarbon 100%. Wondered had anyone tried it before I shell out the cash for it. Here is the msds http://www.weberart.com/msds/msds_ross_thinner.pdfAlso Bob Ross is such a legend, would be an honor if I could extract spice from his product

Nope I haven't tried swan yet. It can be quite pricey too more expensive than Ronsonol for just 100ml. Just wondered because if it is okay to use I can pick up 1.9 liters for pretty cheap and doesn't look as sketchy as buying quantities of lighter fluid.

I don't know about this specific product, but generally odorless products don't freeze precipitate and take forever to evaporate.

Thanks for the replies If I can find it cheap enough then I'll do a a small batch and test it out and post back my results. I'll keep looking for other products too while I'm at it. Ufostrahlen do you know if they will despatch to a private address? The quest goes on.

Great could finally be a decent source for my further extractions I'm a little wary of the part in the terms and conditions that says this. "Due to the nature of our products we work with authorities including the Police, the Home Office and HM Customs and Excise to restrict chemicals wherever necessary. If we have any suspicion that a customer, be they commercial or private, may be using our products for illicit purposes we will report all instances to the relevant authority. " I wonder how well this stuff is watched? I mean I wouldn't be buying bulk or anything just 1 litre would do me for quite some time. Hmmmmmmm

Only drawback is the high boiling point and the low volatility - it means that it will take ages to evaporate out of your crystals after freeze precipitation. "Low odor" literally means low volatility. Some little trees may not turn out as happy as planned. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here!
