This is going to be SWIMs first extraction,SWIMs looking to extract very soon and hes quite excited. SWIMS read many posts about high yields from STB's which makes him skeptical about impurities and such. At the same time hes skeptical of doing an A/B extraction for his first time involving harsh acids. So SWIMs going to be using PanoraMIX European A/B tek.(SWIMs read that this is simply and STB involving an acid). I am intrigued about the use of an acid without any cooks or harsh acids. hes am acquiring all material necessary to begin but being quite patient to ensure approaching this correctly and safely. Hes have acquired "Red Devil" lye, 5% vinegar, Bestine( in replacement for Naptha), citric acid( read using 15 ml of fresh lemon juice works well), hes waiting on the ammonia because he believes he read in the FAQ's that it decreases yield. Hes considering a heptane recrystallization or a sodium bicarbonate wash.(If anybody has any suggestions or recommendations I am more than happy to hear them, my process is always evolving). Now SWIMS am simply waiting to find a good source of MHRB, but time is on my side.

The questions that SWIM has are:
1) Would you suggest pulling with heptane instead of Naptha, if so should would Xylene or Limo be suggested for the last pull?
2)If there is no freezer is a slow evap recommended? or should he acquire a cooler with dry ice?
3) If swim pulls with heptane should he recrystallize with something else?
4) do you recommend a sodium bicarbonate wash?
(some of these questions have be addressed in previous posts but not definite answers was stated)
