I Have a few questions regarding extraction of cacti. I dont have a definate tek I am following , as I always prefer to find styles of teks that are similiar and mix and match to fit my needs or what I feel is the easiest for me. Ive had success with lucidlemonades sunflower oil tek but I wasnt happy with the waxy xtals I ended up with. Ive read that hcl xtals arent as sticky and they seem to me to be better for storage- besides fumerates.
-I found a tek on here somewhere (sorry I copied and pasted and cant find it now), and whoever wrote the tek used muratic acid for the salting phase. They used 250 ml & 8 drops of 31% for the salting phase. The teks says to add this to the toleune and mix for 5 mins. Would it be better to add it all at once or break that 250ml down into 3 parts and wash 3 times? I figure 3 smaller washes would be more efficient than one large wash . I will be checking PH and shooting for a 6-7 , correct?
After the mescalated water was obtained the tek says to boil this 250ml mescsa water down half way or 2/3 down and calls for another half cup of clean water to be added and boiled down again. The reasoning for this says that it will remove any excess acid in the final water- is this true? does it help and is it necessary.
-I have also read that the end product can be purer if the NP solvent is allowed to sit in the soup for 24 hours because there is a fine sediment that ends up in the final product.
My next question is - Can I conduct all of my pulls , combine and allow those to sit in a jar overnight for the sediment to clear, or is it better to stay in the soup?
-My next question is about water content- I have heard mescaline is hydrophillic- What are some good water ratios for using toluene , 100g cacti and 100g s. hydroxide?
-also a tek I am referencing calls for saturating the water with table salt at the same time the sodium hydroxide is added to help prevent emulsion- can this hurt and will it end up in my final product- Im only considering this because cacti is 'spensive and Ive read emulsion is very common with a/b cacti.
Any help would greatly benefit me and those who I shall be feeding, thank you.
is it - 7 hits or dosing 7 times ..... Either way I lost count along time ago, and Just type/Speak without a filter.... All of this is just one big tasty 'word salad'......
