So, I pretty much followed NB's tek and got a pretty low yield initially but then decided it would be a good idea (after scraping my jar clean of crystals) to let the naphtha evaporate. Probably stupid but its my first extraction, a little curious, and I was a little discouraged with my low freeze precip yield. Pretty much I wanted to see the outcome. At this point it turned into a yellow goo that im scraping around in a dish and im wondering what I should do with it. I was thinking redissolve it with my last pull of naphtha and then freeze precip? Im not sure...but it is now gone and only appears when I re-scrape the pan. I just wanna get the most out of this extraction at this point.

Ok, thanks for the tip and definitely will but how can I do that if the DMT goo is gone? Where is the DMT? Sorry first extraction

its not gone if you didnt throw it away, it doesnt vaporize at room/warm temperature... It's probably just a goo which seems like less than it is.. Is that possible? Goo can be misleading to judge weight. Add a bit of warm naphtha and freez.

I suppose I will just scrape all the goo that is stuck to the glass dish, put it in a jar, and warm a bit of naphtha with it, then freeze. Could I just use my last pull to redissolve this goo and then freeze it?

yeah you could use your last pull but using fresh naphtha will probably make it cleaner once you freeze. You can scrape goo and use warm naphtha, and then run a bit more of warm naphtha in the dish and tilt it so naphtha collects in one corner, and either pipette it out into the freeze container or simply pour it into the freeze container (more risky/messy). Or you can straight away before scrapping, running warm naphtha on the dish and transfering it to freeze container, so you dont have to worry about scrapping. Just remember not to throw anything away
