Hey all
this is the extraction proccess im using and just wanted to double check to see if its ok.

Also does anyone know where i can buy Sodium Hydroxide and Shellite or is there more easier obtainable products i can use for the extraction process???

1. Grind plant material finely

2. Simmer in PH 4 water for roughly 2 hours (this pulls the DMT salts from the plant material which are soluble in water), pour off water, add more (again PH4) and repeat three times

3. Strain off plant material and combine the 3 acidified solutions from the boils, and reduce on the stove to a workable amount (500ml is ideal though if you’re working with a lot of plant material you can afford a little more.. perhaps a litre)

4. This step converts the salts into freebase which then become insoluble in water, but soluble in a non-polar solvent. A PH between 11 and 13 is ideal for this step. Sodium Hydroxide is most commonly used but you could also use sodium carbonate or potassium hydroxide. You'll know when you've based enough because the solution will be jet black

5. Now that the DMT is in its freebase form, you want to pull it out of the solution. This can be done with a non-polar solvent such as Shellite (but other solvents like DCM, Limonene, Toluene or Xylene work too). Measure 100ml shellite and warm via placing it in a jar and putting the jar in a hot water bath (DO NOT HAVE IT ANYWHERE NEAR A FLAME AS IT IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE). Slowly add the warmed shellite to the based solution and gently mix being careful not to create bubbles. Don't shake it or it will create immulsion. Once the layers have separated you want to decant the non-polar solvent from the solution and either evaporate it or place in a glass dish in the freezer and let it precipitate out of the solution for about 24-48 Hrs and then pour off solvent and dry the crystals by placing the dish upside down in the freezer or blow it with a fan..

thanks

Yes you got it right for the most part. Regarding where to get the chemicals, check this thread:

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=14772

I would only add/correct 3 things there: First of all, if you use sodium carbonate, be sure to add it very slowly since it will bubble up, and dont use shellite with it as the yields will probably be very bad, if you use sodium carbonate you'll probably have to use some other of the stronger solvents you mentioned above for decent yield. Also with sodium carbonate you have more chances of emulsions, so be sure to stir gently. Maybe better if you can find sodium or potassium hydroxide.

The other thing is that you should do a few cycles of mixing/letting stand before actually pulling out the solvent, dont do it just once.

Lasty, freezing only works with shellite/naphtha, not with the other mentiond solvents which youll have to salt or evaporate (except limo which you cant evaporate either, only salting workings, check BLAB tek for more info).

Better aim for 12.5 - 13.

Since it seems that this is your first time, I would recommend using sodium/potassium hydroxide.
Got GVG ? Mhm. Got DMT ?
