DMT solution and separation Options

During the salvaging of DMT crystals after a successful freeze precipitation, I noticed residual crystals along the walls of the mason jar which previously held the naphtha and crystals. Rather than, say, scraping them with a metal object(they were somewhat saturated at this point), I added around 200mL of distilled water and swished it around to capture the crystals. I setup a funnel apparatus and filtered the water through, but almost none of the crystals were captured by the filter. I'm looking for a means of separating this tricky solution. Would letting the beaker simmer on a hotplate risk destroying the DMT molecules? Evaporation would take forever. Would placing the container in an icebath work, or maybe the addition of minimal amounts of naphtha? Any help would be appreciated.

DMT freebase doesn't dissolve in water.

Dont over-complicate yourself Smile Use minimal amount of warm naphtha (check FAQ for how to safely warm it) to pick up the last bits of DMT, or you can also some some clean acetone, ethanol or IPA for the same purpouse, then just evap it in a flat-bottom pyrex dish for easy scraping later
