First time extraction using q21 tek2. LOW YIELD! Anyone got tips for my next try? Options

OK... So I've bought some DMT twice now and have decided to try and go about extracting my own. I've been lurking around here for the past 4 or 5 months reading about it. I decided to go with q21's tek 2 since it is supposedly soooo easy and nets you some pure white snow.

I got everything I needed. I was actually surprised by just how easy it was during the process. The end result after 3 pulls is roughly mayyybee 100mg out of 100g mimosa. I didn't take any pictures so I'll just try and describe how I went about the procedure.

1. Measured 100g of powdered Mimosa Hostilis into my quart jar for mixing.
2. Added 100ml of White Vinegar 5%, mixed it in real good
3. Added ~100ml of hot water straight from the tap all the way on hot. It was too hot to keep my hand under the faucet. Maybe I need to boil it?
4. Let this mixture sit for about 40 minutes
5. Added 75g of Mrs Wages Pickling Lime and slowly stirred it all in. I got a consistency that I could make a whole in the middle of.
6. I got a big pot of water boiling and a bigger pot to pour it into for a hot water bath. Once it was at a full rolling boil I dumped it into the bigger pot. Poured 100ml of VM&P Naphtha into my quart jar with the mimosa mixture. And set it in the hot water bath. I stirred the mimosa/naphtha mixture constantly for a good 10 minutes in the hot water bath.
7. Poured the Naphtha out on to a circle glass pie pan and stuck it in the freezer over night.

The next morning I had some white specs in there but not much. I could see there was some residue sticking to the plate though. I poured the naphtha off into a measuring cup for the next pull and set the plate out to dry. It ended up being 5 or 6 specs of white powder about the size of a chunk of kosher salt. I scraped the plate to find some yellowish gooey stuff. Altogether the pull may have been enough for one small bowl.

I did another pull that turned out about the same. Then decided to re-do the vinegar and lime steps before the 3rd pull. 3rd pull was again about the same if not less.

There did seem to be what looked like a milky white oil streak on top of the naphtha even after being in the freezer for 12+ hours. With some floaty white pieces in there too. Maybe I should leave it in the freezer for 24 hours?

So 3 pulls and 100mg. Something ain't right here. I got all the exact recommended ingredients. Mimosa from HP(recommended here). 5% white cooking vinegar. Mrs Wages Pickling Lime. VM&P Naphtha. Easy.

Should I let the mimosa sit for longer after mixing in the lime? I only gave it maybe 5 minutes while prepping the next step.

Should I boil the water I add in after the vinegar?

Did I just get bunk mimosa? I thought this was a good vendor...

I'm trying to figure out what I should do differently next time. Maybe try tek 1. Although I'd really just like to get some good white dmt. Every time I've bought it, it has been yellow and slightly gooey. I want to get this tek working.

I'm confused since everybody seems to have such good results with this tek. Mine looked kinda similar to the result pictures I've seen. But just a whoooolllee lot less of it.

Try a little less naphtha and maybe let it sit a little longer say 30 mins. Also you could heat your NP up a little in a hot water bath before you put it in the mix and when you freeze precip put it in a jar with a lid.

You should let the basified mix sit for a while too at least an hour to make sure it has time to freebase the goods.

Thanks for the tips. It seems like it would be kind of hard to scrape up the powder out of a jar. Which is why I used the big glass pan. I did wonder if maybe it was spread out too much for the crystals to clump together.

Also, the first pull I used 100ml naphtha and got about 25ml left over. The 2nd and 3rd pulls I used 100ml again and had about 75ml left over. Not sure if some was absorbed into the mimosa mixture or just evaporated in the freezer.

It's a little hard but you can pour some IPA in the jar and make changa with what you can't scrape up. I'm not sure if it really matters but it does seem like the xtals would be able to clump together more easily in a jar.

If your mix was the right consistency I don't think it should have absorbed any, you most likely lost it due to evap in the freezer without a lid.
