Hello, Very happy

After 5 years of growing my San Pedro I've decided it's time to preform an extraction! I began collecting most everything I needed for the "Easy Three-Step Mescaline Citrate" Tek. (without realizing i could no longer source xylene in my location.)Embarrased

After some research I assumed D-Limonene would be a sufficent solvent replacement for the tek. So I followed the tek to the tee with just the one exception. I ended up with a more tar like substance in the end. Is this usable?

I guess my main question is; will this tek work with D-limonene replacing xylene?

Thanks!Drool

You could explain your tek at first,
I assume a STB tek with either lye or calcium hydroxide as a base, then limonene as a solvent (yes it will work and pull), salting with citrates.
The tar like is common in un-cleaned mescaline extract, especially if pulled with oil (like limo) it is very usable as is.
You can also wash with MEK.
Smell like tea n,n spirit !

Toke the toke, and walk the walk !

Thanks, that definitively answers my question.

Yes, the tek I followed was using lye as a base, limonene solvent, and salting with citric acid. Sorry, for not explaining in more detail, and thanks for the tip on washing with MEK! Cheers!
