Hey everyone,

So I did a first run of a STB extraction on 25g MhRb, just a small amount to try it, I came into problems with my precipitate. It would evap off with the naptha when I would try to dry it out. Looked around and found that blowing on it while drying it or using a fan can keep it from evaporating off. A second run of 50g MhRb was run with the exact same ingredients. These pulls are coming out a greenish color. I understand that these are not safe to ingest and that I should start over but why did this happen from the same ingredients? What causes the solvent to go bad or for the MhRb solution to go bad in the case of green/blue pulls.

Edit: Between the naptha layer and the MhRb solution it looks like that I can actually see the dmt crystals.

what type of solvent and containers/instruments are you using? more info on your method would be helpful. sounds like the crystals might be turning to oil when drying.

Using camp stove fuel is the most common cause of green/blue extracts. It's caused by rust inhibitors.

Oh yeah probably should have stated that earilier Laughing

I am using naptha & NaOH, exactly im using vm&p nafta and roebics drain opener (labeled 100% NaOH). For my containers im using 1000ml mason jars. Would just leaving the Naptha in the MhRb solution too long caiuse it to go bad?
