Are all classic MAOIs in fact RIMAs? Options

As mentioned in this wiki wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/...r_of_monoamine_oxidase_A

Harmine, Harmaline, Tetrahydroharmine, Harmalol, Harman, Norharman, etc are listed. This includes Banisteriopsis ca'ape as well as Peganum (not to mention Tribulus) etc. I would imagine the Ceiba tree family may contain the actual more dangerous MAOI(A/B)s per chance, since it is known to be dangerous and require dietary restrictions. However, back in my experimenting days, I inhibited my MAO with a rue extract and ate a huge cheese pizza right as the effects were coming on... No physical discomfort. Does tyramine toxicity cause physical discomfort? I would imagine toxicity would be painful. I challenge someone to come up with a source of proof that shows beyond a reasonable doubt actual toxicity happening with these listed substances in relation to the restrictions made in the diet - namely cheese and meat as things like velarian may be a bit more complex of a contraindication.

I can understand why you would not want your digestive system upset with rotting meat or cheese in your gut while entering sacred space (or at all for that matter), but I'm beginning to question if it is really a medical concern as we all had learned.

yea this has been discussed a lot

the whole dietary-restriction thing is for the most part a myth perpetuated by our culture

IME though, compared to other foods, a raw plant-based diet goes the best with caapi/rue use

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

CYP450 phenotypic expression is largely varied across populations, and some are more affected by xenobiotics than others. RIMAs are not nearly as potentially hazardous as IrIMAs such as Nardil.
that being said, many medical professionals are alarmists, and will cite crap right out of a PDR. It's like reading an MSDS for chemicals, which lists worst case scenarios that tend to scare the crap out of ignorant people.
