Hello all!

So, after getting some good results using q21q21's tek, I decided to go ahead and extract the rest of my mimosa. During the acidification stage, I didn't remember to use NEAR-BOILING water and just used room temperature water. Is this ok? If not, is there something I can do about it - like heat the slurry somehow? Or just leave it for longer? In lou of a reply I will just leave it for longer.

Sorry for the noob question! I searched but couldn't find anything...

It should be OK. You could heat the slurry if you want to, or leave it a bit longer, or neither. It's up to you and there is nothing close to a community consensus of which will give you the best result (or even what the 'best' result means in terms of alkaloid range, purity, yield and time). Some people skip the acidification step altogether and report comparable or higher yields to acid/base extractions.
