my name is marc and i am determined to eventually extract dmt. i would like the help or any person experienced in extracting dmt who has had a full blown dmt trip. Here is my problem:

i use a plastic canadian tire turkey baster, a 4L hot pepper jar shredded mimosa, lye and a wooden spoon to stir the lye in order to dissolve it and so that the granules don't stick together and become rock hard in the water (problem is that the spoon gets eaten away at when i stir). i do 4 pulls turning the jar 4 times each and then i turkey baste pull the vm and p into a mason jar and then into a ceramic tray with the same turkey baster (i use both the mason jar and the ceramic tray in order to leave behind all the black stuff) i freeze precipitate in a freezer without a lid on the tray and then pour off all the naptha after 24 hours leaving all the white crystals stuck to the bottom of the tray/dish. then i turn the dish over and put it into the freezer upside down to let any left over naptha fall out of the dish. after keeping the dish in the freezer for half an hour it turn it right side up and leave it in the fridge for 24 hours and then what i get is...

way too many crystals and its not quite dmt though some hallucinogenic effects.

note to reader: i don't sanitize the containers i use very well and would like to know if this is what is causing my problems.
ALSO, MY SPICE ENDS UP WITH FROST ON IT IN SOME SPOTS AND I DON'T LIKE THAT ONE BIT!

What is "way too many crystals" ? how many grams versus how many grams mimosa starting material?

what do you mean with not sanitizing the containers? What was the dirt/impurity in the container before?

by frost you mean water? water will melt and will evaporate with time/air flow, it doesnt affect spice

you should wash your solvent with sodium carbonate by the way, to remove lye and other polar impurity traces.

when you say "not quite dmt" what do you mean? What is your method of smoking?

Do you know what kind of plastic your turkey baster is?

HMMM vexing. Could you elaborate what the effects are of the crystals you have? Because it seems like you followed the tek, that is if you used Nomans Dmt for the masses and not the spin off. Did you? You said your mimosa was shredded, i would recommend powdering it like the tek says. Also I would also try to get a separatory funnel if you can, they are much easier to use than a turkey baster but turkey basters do work i suppose. I tried the baster rout and I think it's a pain, I think the baster is also what leads to ice forming with your crystals because when I used one that happened to me too, not 100% though. Also i don't really think it's necessary to stir in the lye with a spoon, usually if you swirl it around a bit it will dissolve just fine. Also how much of the crystals did you smoke? you may just need more because by what you described (that is if i read it right) it seems like you basically did it right. I just say that because I don't know what else you could have extracted with naptha and doing what you did that wouldn't be dmt. I know there are many other alkaloids in MHRB but i wouldn't think that they would be the majority of what comes out with naptha, but I don't know, crazier things have happened. Endless is definitely the guy to ask about that sorta stuff, but my bet is that you have DMT.

Yeah there's a link to it on the "DMT for the masses" tek on erowid. It's essentially the same but you simmer in the mimosa into the water and add lemon juice and then after its cooled then add the lye. I think that's about the only difference besides them using petroleum ether for the solvent in stead of naptha. I would like to start off by saying welcome to the nexus Marc, this may come across as being a bit blunt. It's not meant to..

1st off, why are you stirring the water lye mix? You should be shaking it then releasing pressure. Next off, how much of what kind of spoon did the mixture dissolve/ eat away at? What ever has been eaten away is now in your spice. That can not be healthy regardless of spoon material. Lastly, I would like you to go have a look at your "plastic turkey baster".. Is it still brand new looking?.. or is it kinda melted and off white/burnt bubbly plastic looking? Most if not all plastic turkey basters will melt if you use them with solvent. You may have severely contaminated spice at the moment that is causing your body great harm every time you ingest it.

If you have answered wood, plastic or metal for the question about the spoon and have answered yes my turkey baster is melted and nasty looking.. Please discard batch now before you kill yourself or others and try again using proper tools and procedures..
