this might sound like a bit of a dumb question but i just wanted to confirm wether orange oil is another name for D-limonene because i dont want to end up ruining the extraction that ive chosen by purchasing the wrong thing.

Sometimes "orange oil" can contain other things. Make sure it's translucent and is not any colors. You can also google "product name + MSDS" and get a report on what it contains. Make sure you are using 100% D-Limonene with nothing else in it.

cool thanks for the info, also do you know where to actually get d-limonene from because i live in the UK and im not sure what stores really sell it or is my best solution just to buy it online.

check the supplier subforum of our website, there is information on where to get d-limo in europe there I believe.

thanks for the info on the places i can find the d-limo from guys, another quick question is how strong is the d-limo smell because i dont want the smell to be permanently embedded into my cooking utensils lol

I wouldn't worry about that.
If you're worried, why not pick up something cheap you can dedicate to this kind of work...
