I had an idea for filtering after precip (nomans) and wanted to get some feedback. Say, hypothetically of course, that i have small four ounce colection jars. After freezing overnight, could one attach the coffee filters directly to the jars with rubber bands?? Then, while leaving in freezer, flip them over to drain into a larger reservoir for, say, an hour? Then remove the jars and filters and leave crystals out to dry? Let me know what you think.

your crystals should be sticking to the glass of your freeze precipitation container. if all you are getting is the "floaty" type crystals then that usually means that you don't have a decent amount of dmt in the solvent to crash out correctly.

maybe others encounter different scenarios then i have but for me the crystals form and grow on the glass and stay there until i scrape them out.

i think filters is a bad idea. they would probably trap a good deal of dmt.

Sounds like it should work. I usually get some floaters, most of the DMT gets stuck to the jar but there's some that floats.

Some solvent containing DMT would soak into the filter paper, so some would be lost, I don't think it would be very much though.

This below is what you mean right? I was bored so I made a drawing Razz
