Hello!

Recently, SWIM tried q21q21's tek, and it worked. *YAY!!* But she had a few questions, so I thought I'd relay them for her here.

First, in step 0, SWIM had a hell of a time separating the fibers out of the powder. She was only making a small first-timer batch in case she messed up, so she went ahead and took out all the fibers to get a fairly pure powder of the MHRB. But for only 30g, it took over an hour. This obviously isn't going to work for larger ammounts. The tek said that fibers are ok, but SWIM is a bit of a perfectionist, so she is wondering if the wonderful people here would be willing to shoot her a few suggestions. She is using a glass black and decker blender for this step, using each setting for a few seconds before moving to the next. She did this many times until it was clear that the fibers weren't going to go away. The tek said this was likely, anyway. So she was wondering, would a motar and pestle work for the fibers? And what would be the best way to sift the fibers from the powder? And do the fibers even matter, or should she just throw them away?/ Is she only wanting the powder, not the fibers?

The next problem SWIM ran into was with the evaporation and turning into tintcure. The tek gets really messy there, and sort of hard to follow. One big thing she found was that the tek says it should turn into a red liquid. SWIM did not find this to be true, hers was more of an orange-y yellow. This was assumed to be a mistake in the wording, since there were other minor typos in the tek. (Don't take offense, q21q21! Just saying that SWIM was hoping that it was a typo. ) Should the liquid be orange-y or red? She used a crock pot to evaporate, and it seemed to work well enough, though she was wondering: Is there a better method for this step when making a small batch? Also, it says it should be a clear solution. SWIM was hoping for some clarity on what that means?


The next step is where SWIM screwed up. She used the spoon and lighter method, and used a rolling paper with a dime inside (the dime was used like a razor would be used on a flat surface, the rolling paper was to protect the dmt from the dime on the dime.) The tek had mentioned rolling paper as a good mehtod, suggesting using your finger where SWIM used the dime. SWIM, however, found this to be a REALLY BAD IDEA. The rolling paper absorbed quite a bit of the dmt, and it was about impossible to get off of the paper. She ended up using some herb to scrape it up as much as she could, which worked well, but made the smoking hard. (Will explain later) SWIM is going to buy a glass coaster or whatever for this step next time. Why is rolling paper recommended in the tek? Did SWIM do something wrong here?


To smoke, SWIM has a (sparkly orange!! haha) Silver Surfer Vaporizer. Getting the dmt into the deep wand proved to be a challenge, but this was accomplished by covering the dmt with spent herb (SWIM has been keeping the spent herb from smoking in the vape, for just this reason. ha) and using a pair of tweezers to get it in the wand. What is weird, is it took several inhales to get to the dmt. SWIM assumed this was because the herb was being burned off, and since it was spent "vape ash", she just had to wait through. She eventually got it, but didn't break through. A larger dose will be used next time. Does anyone have suggestions for using the SSV?


Any and all suggestions/corrections/advice would obviously be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

1st:

It is not necessary to separate the fibers out of the powder, just do the vinegar soak for a bit longer.

2nd:

If you are doing the white DMT tek, why would you want to do a tincture? No need for that.

3rd:

Forget about the tincture and keep things simple, again

4th: That one might not work, haven't heard about it. However a vaporgenie or glass vaporgenie will work for sure.

My advice: Keep things as simple as possible and you will succeed

I didn't clarify in my first post.... SWIM was making jimjam, not white dmt.

OK. Try also white DMT if you feel like it, it's GREAT(you can hear it from many others too)

I'll clarify these in the tek later but for now I'll just quickly respond to your concerns/problems.

1: I know that when I tried to blend MHRB it did not powderize but just fibre-ized. I don't know if doing the tek with fibres will work better, worse or the same as powder... I recall a post from 1 member who did it but there was no yield posted, nonetheless I believe it should work.
.... hmmm from the comments/questions after this point I guess it did work? ... anyway.

I would suggest using the fibres and the powder. The pre-powdered bark I'm quite sure is the fibres that have gone through super industrial blenders. I would really appreciate a picture of the fibre-y bark for the tek if you have a camera.

2:Yes the liquid is actually more orange-yellow than red while evaporating. It only gets red when there is almost no liquid left (more DMT than water/vinegar) the liquid should be clear though there often are some floaties. I use a cotton ball in a 5ml dropper to filter it because you can squeeze every drop out of it which is important with such small amounts of liquid.

3: The rolling paper is supposed to be used to hold the DMT and be smoked with it, not transport the DMT. I suppose since a finger is used to transport and not for smoking off that could have been unclear.

I've been meaning to go through the tek and correct typos, clarify and condense but I keep getting distracted, got a bunch of stuff going on. Anyway I'm sorry for any issues you had but not too much considering my first, seconds, third, fourth and fifth extractions (nomans and experimental sodium-carbonate teks) resulted in 0% yield, haha.

Also, if you wouldn't mind one last question.... After Swim evaporated the jimjam, it was very sticky, this IS correct? Just wanted to make sure, in case she didn't evaporate it all the way.

It is just like the picture in the beginning of the tek, gooey/sticky, yes.
