Boiling down chaliponga tea - optimum temperature? Options

Hi there,

Just finishing a chali brew after 3 boils. Is boiling too hot for this?

With Caapi in the other pot I'm just letting it slowly evaporate as there's little left after a whole day's brew. With cacti I also tend to leave under 100C as some of the alkaloids might evaporate.

Wikipedia tells us this about DMT:

Boiling point 160 °C (320 °F) @ 0.6 Torr[1] also reported as 80 - 135 °C @ 0.03 Torr[2]

Anyone know how this fits a pot on a hob? Smile
