It doesn't matter to much as far as I know. if anything doing it too low would only cause a little vinegar contamination throughout the goo that could be cooked off in the spoon-lighter method when the volume is low enough for the spoon.
I remember the first time I tried smoking acetates I tasted A LOT of vinegar and it was odd to smoke, this was evaporated at room temperature into a yellow-syrup-goo (was originally yellow naptha-pulled freebase) compared to the thick yellow molasses-y or even solidfying stuff from the spoon-lighter method (from white freebase originally) which has little if any vinegar taste.
