How influence kristal or powder forming and color?

Hello there,
I have two questions that someone can hopefully answer for me. Sometimes, when I let the naptha evaporate I get powdered dmt, and sometimes I get kristal dmt. I like to have kristals so how can I make sure the dmt will crystallize and stay that way?
I don't use a freezer because it's only a small and not really cold enough one...So I let all the naptha evaporate, to make sure this process goes faster I divide the naptha over like 4-5 plates. So I get 4-5 different colours of dmt...When I pulled the naptha out after an hour or so I got half white half yellow dmt...Does someone know if the yellowstuff (whatever it is) is in the downside of the naptha because it's havier than dmt? Or how can I influence my ratio in yellow/white dmt in this way?

Your DMT has either oxidized into DMT oxide, rendering it way less potent, or there is excess solvent in it.
