I would have posted this is the cacti forum, but it won't let me. So here it is: Swim had some Torch powder, and attempted to make some syrup, thinking that the liquid/solids would separate by straining and/or filtering. Little did he know he discovered soon, very little. As he looks at a pot full of green slime he wonders:" Is there any way to just get the water out?" Can he freeze it and just collect the runoff? He certainly wanted to avoid the usual time- consuming A/B or STB, and get a full spectrum product. Any insights on this?

Boil the water off and concentrate it? duh? Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! Need to calculate freebase or salt percentage at a given pH? Click here!

sure, freeze, save liquid add pulp back to pot, add more water, boil until snot stops foaming use old tee shirt to wring out the liquid repeat until pulp is not bitter add all liquid phases, boil them down to syrup imo, a stb is quicker

txs, but the problem he is having that he can't strain it through a t-shirt or a strainer cause it all comes through...liquid and solids. He just doesn't want to cook it all down, he would have as much material as he started with!
Can he still to a STB? He already added some vinegar before boiling the first time.

ok, there is no way he can filter this snot. Couldhe just change the PH to 11, and then pull with naptha, and evaporate the solvent to yield a full spectrum extract? txs!

You CAN filter that stuff. It just takes a while. I used a large sock style filter that I made out of an old dress shirt. These aren't the droids you're looking for.

yes, it is possible. That dress shirt won't let the particles through, that's great; I just don't have a press, and doing this by hand is very hard.
