thats fascinating! nothing like i have heard before at all. it is very radio communication-like.
i would like to think that one day we will be able to understand the meaning behind these sounds.

I tried recreating the sound I hear when when they break into my reality (attached). On Breakthrough, it doesn't get away, but I get into a synesthetic state where I hear what I see and feel and so on. There are also other sounds, but this one is so unique, its like the connection between the worlds causes some friction that sounds like this.

I still hear it every time. Though it does sound really interesting to experience a trip in complete silence. The sound is beautiful, but it can be a little distracting when I'm trying to focus on the sight of the universe folding in on itself

I did however lose the sound in my right ear once when I had an ear infection. It made me feel unbalanced and slightly uncomfortable.
