Hello everyone, I’m not only new member but also new to dmt and just had my first trip very recently. I’ve tried to talk to people about it and I always get very excited but they do not share the same experience. Here I know there are people that actually understand. So I thought I’d share my experience because I don’t really know what to put as a introduction lol. But anyways I’ve always wanted to try dmt and unfortunately it never found me so I took it upon myself to make it. Long story short I made a good amount and was super eager to try. Looked up a few videos on technique and went head first into smoking it, only to find my self light headed and confused. I wasn’t super concerned because it was my first time and thought for sure there would be error. Waited a couple more days to try again just to do more research. Second try, a little more educated and a little more calm about the situation, tried again to find myself in the same place. at this point I was starting to get discouraged and thought “did I make it wrong? Does my scale not working ? Did someone sell me a different root?”. But whatever I still had some and figured I can tried again. Another couple days later I tried again and failed, I thought I had some type of rare immunity to the substance I had longed to try. At a lost I figured to give up. Anyways a couple days ago, I looked at my pipe and noticed I still had some left over dmt and remained from previous attempts and thought fuck it, might as well try again. It really wasn’t much so I really wasn’t expecting anything only to find myself tripping pretty hard after the first hit. Went in for another, let me tell you, no one could’ve prepared me for the intensity the was the second hit, the room went ape shit with beauty. And that’s when I went in for my last hit, and there I was flying through hyperspace. Anyways I know I’ll probably get shamed for this but I have never researched much into Terrance McKenna or knew what his voice sounded like, but as I was going through I could hear what sounded like music played by a harp and his voice, Idk how I knew it was his voice but I did. Unfortunately I can’t remember much else about this trip other than it was amazing and that I can’t wait to go back.

That sounds about right. It is pretty interesting that a lot of us start out this way, as taking DMT has a bit of an unpredictable learning curve to it. It usually boils down to technique, but sometimes certain people just need a little bit more than average to really get going. Also, sometimes the gates of hyperspace simply don't open at all, for no apparent reason. DMT is strange and wild like that.
