PREFACE

My first 2 administrations of DMT happened within a couple of hours of each other so I'm going to include both of those experiences in this report.

My first 4 doses all suffered because of a piss poor heating method. I'm using a 12" bubbler with the correct attachment needed for dabbing shatter, but unfortunately I don't own a banger, instead I was using a kitchen torch (I have since upgraded my game to a proper vaporizer).

It was these two trips that made me realize the importance of being comfortable with every aspect of your surroundings. There may be things in your immediate surroundings that subconsciously conjure positive or negative emotions. I realized it's really important to try and remove anything that could conjure negativity in your mind before you go into DMT (and actually I've since started trying to extend this to my work life and home life as well).

So one of the things that I realized was really throwing me off balance with DMT was my heating method, namely the kitchen torch. The torch I use does not have a trigger that you hold, instead it has a dial that starts the movement of the gas, and then it has a button that lights the gas. The flame will not turn off until you dial it back to 0. As I'm sure you can already figure, this is, excuse my language, a dogshit way to vaporize any substance that could potentially cause you to black out, because, well, you could burn your house down. So my first steps with DMT were marred by this, I would be able to heat the stuff and get it boiling and vaping, but as I would be inhaling, as things were getting more intense emotionally, that little pang of fear I felt over potentially burning my house down, that fear set the tone for the experience. And this happened with all 4 of my initial attempts (unsurprisingly all were non breakthrough experiences).

So to everyone trying this out for the first time, make sure you are comfortable with your method, such that if you were to suddenly drop your rig, it wouldn't bother you in the least, and make sure your surroundings don't have anything that could make you feel upset.

REPORT

The First Administration of DMT:

I weighed out 70 mg, and dropped it into my rig. I turned on the torch, exhaled, put my mouth to the bong, put the torch to the rig, and started inhaling slowly. Being inexperienced with how much vapor I needed to inhale, I inhaled as much as I could, I turned the torch off, set that down, set down the bong, and then laid back. I held it for as long as I felt I could, and exhaled.

Before I even exhaled I noticed that suddenly it seemed as though a 2 dimensional image was laid over my vision (my eyes were open). The best way I can describe it is that it was like a GUI from a video game or something. In the bottom right and bottom left corners of this "GUI" there were 2 circles that were rotating, and they had some symbols I couldn't really make out, the circles reminded me of Aztec or Maya imagery, specifically the Mayan Calendar. It's hard to pull detail out of my memory of it. At any rate, immediately after this, I closed my eyes, and it seemed as though I was suddenly looking at a stage, or maybe it was a large gate (kind of like a garage door - reminded me of those big doors that require key cards in Doom 3 [idk why I'm using video games to relate all of this haha..]). And then suddenly it seemed as though a person appeared standing in front of me, slightly to the right, faceless, or maybe he had a skull for a face, and I had the distinct impression he was wearing a top hat. Very vaudevillian, like he was wearing the full get up, the top hat, waist coat, jacket, button down shirt. The way it happened was almost like he was presenting to me the gate, like "welcome to the show, come on down and come inside!". And that was basically when I started coming down.

NOTES

This was a really interesting experience, but it was all very superficial. The first error I made was I put my mouth to the bong and started inhaling at the same moment I put the fire to the rig. I clearly didn't receive much of a dose because of this. Also the fear of using the torch really messed with me I think, because I really started to develop a tangible fear of smoking the DMT. I only attribute my fear to the torch because even though it was startling to see the vaudevillian figure, I don't think I really felt any fear as a result of seeing him.

REPORT

The Second Administration of DMT

After that first experience, like I said I became really hesitant to try it again alone, the whole torch thing was really getting to me, and I really wanted to continue exploring it that night, so I called my bro (who lives nearby) and asked him if he'd be willing to help out. So he came over and we hung out, and we discussed how we would do it. So the plan was he would help me light it, and we agreed that I would try to take the full dose in one hit. So we loaded another 70mg and started the process. This time he preheated the bowl a little and when I noticed vapor rising I started inhaling. I inhaled as long as I felt as I could, laid back, closed my eyes and held the vapor as long as I could. When I exhaled I suddenly felt like I was in a room, except it was more like a silo, like I was sitting at the bottom of a tunnel, but it wasn't a tunnel in the normal sense, it was one that was aimed up, and at the end of the tunnel I felt as though I could see stars and outer space. Suddenly I became aware of two beings, one on either side of my vision, one situated at the bottom left of my vision and one at the bottom right. And it felt like these beings were saying to me "come on come on come on, you got this, just let go, come on come on come on..." but I became frightened, I think I heard my brothers phone go off or something, and I resisted completely. I opened my eyes, and there was this visceral winding down sound. It was like I had been on a ship that was ready to go, all the machines whirring at a high pitch, and when I opened my eyes it was like the machines shut down and slowly wound down to a halt. I had been in the cockpit, and the ship was in the silo aimed at the sky, ready to launch. But when I opened my eyes, all systems were no longer go and everything ground down to a halt.

NOTES

So again a very interesting experience! I had my first vision of the tunnel everyone mentions, so that was a really excellent feeling, that I was making steps forward in this. Something about the entities showing up is completely startling, just the unexpectedness of it is what threw me off, and that startled feeling led to some fear. This fear added to the still ongoing fear of the torch and of burning my house down (which wasn't really mitigated with the help of my brother for some reason) caused me to put on hold any further experimentation for a few hours. My brother ended up leaving, and I sat alone meditating on the experience and trying to pull things out of it.

Also I want to point out that these experiences consisted of more than just the visions that I saw, I experienced a vast array of thoughts and feelings, but the very granular and nuanced nature of those thoughts and feelings make it hard to put those things into words. I will say the DMT started to dip its toes into my psyche, in that bits and pieces of the parts of my life that I want to engage, those parts of my past and present I want to improve on, were starting to be tackled. But the experiences were so short and fleeting it wasn't possible really to engage with those issues yet.

I ended up later that night vaping the DMT once more, but because that experience was stronger, I think I want to dedicate another post to that.

Anyway I hope on some level this has been informative, and maybe provides insight into your own experiences or if you are brand new to it like I was, that maybe these experiences give you some idea of how to approach this thing.

Thanks very much for reading!
