I couldn't think of what to call this thread. But i had a funny experience last night... It'd been a while since i tripped on the spice, it had taken me a week or 2 before i felt like i wanted another hit. So last night i went for it... I was on my lonesome as usual. My trusty zippo lighter was lacking a flint so i resorted to using a shitty disposable lighter to light my bowl. I only took one hit, but it was a mighty good one - my technique is pretty much down now. As i was holding the lighter on for so long, it's plastic melted and it started to fall apart. I sat the pipe and the lighter down as the effects were coming on strong. A minute or so later, i smelt something burning, looked over to see a 'puddle' of flame on my table. the lighter had melted and was leaking gas, maintaining a flame. the flame had ignited the wax in the wood of my desk, or the varnish, and this ring of fire was spreading rapidly... it took me a while to realise what was happening. i was between worlds, and the goddamn colours were making it hard to see. and i thought to myself "what is that? is that fire? has that always been there? is this bad or something? what to do?" it was spreading rapidly, a foot in diameter now. a certain degree of panic was running thru me - "this is how druggies meet their end". i cleared away my smouldering rizla papers and looked for something to extinguish the fire. meanwhile, the light itself was sat in the middle of this fire... "BANG!!!" it popped and flew across the room. i felt like it was in a warzone or something. i grabbed a hoody and put it out. the effects were wearing off, the whole episode had shook me up quite a bit. i sat down to feel the effects gradually fading. bit of a waste of dmt. wasn't a bad trip as such. it's just that you don't want to be firefighting on the stuff!!! i went out today to buy some more flints.

Sorry to hear about that, gimpy. I don't care much for disposables myself.

After having a bad experience with a propane torch, swim always uses something that automatically goes out after use! Shocked
Any experiences I or SWIM mention have happened only in my nightly dreams.

This is my idea of a real '' bad trip '' . Gald you came out allright! Damn, here's one of the real dangers of DMT. haha! This must be complete hell, a fire is catching up and it's the last thing you see in the 5 seconds blast to hyperspace. :S huh.

Dangerious, but funny - i am glad ya can make the best of a situation like that. It kinda shows the importance of a sitter, but i have been visiting hyperspace alone as of late and know where your coming from.
Side EFFECT OF DMT USE- "obsessing about the experience" "obsessing about the experience" "obsessing about the experience"

wow! what a situation to find yourself in. i truly dont know how I would have (if i could of!) reacted. [quote:b1e17326a6] i grabbed a hoody and put it out.[/quote:b1e17326a6] I probably would have grabbed a hoody and put it on - just to try and hide from the scene haha.

you got lucky! phew!.. I wouldn't use zippos with DMT unless you have a sitter. Zippos would stay lit if you drop them, where as a Bic would go out instantly when it's out of your hand.
