CICADA 3301

Fascinating stuff. Next clue out in 3 days apparently. Anyone know anything else about this?

JBArk

[EDIT] I would just like to underline that this thread was not made to give voice to conspiracies - conjecture about the nature or identity of Cicada 3301 is encouraged, but linking it to the type of conspiracy theory discouraged here is not.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I am embarrassed to say I had to google Nargles... I have a 4 yr old boy, but have never seen a HP movie!! There are many MANY viewings in my future as he gets older I am sure. On a similar note, he is watching Star Wars (the original) with a friend today for the first time. Probably 20 years since I have seen that film... (and yes, I know what an ewok is!!)

On January 5th, 2014, Cicada 3301 released another enigma to the world.

3301

Intriguing to say the least. My sister is convinced it is an art project and I tend to agree, though an art project that is baffling some of the best cryptographers and encryption junkies in the world...?

With references like Allister Crowley, William Blake, William Gibson, R.W. Emerson and with encrypted quotes like “The work of a private man/ who wished to transcend,/ He trusted himself, / to produce from within” and “For Every Thing That Lives Is Holy”, it seems cicada 3301 is an individual or a group that would get along quite well around these parts. Pleased

I exhort you to explain all things that must be XORed...

I admit ya lost me. How does XOR apply here, or am I just being dense?
